Lendal Boatyard is now the operating base for the city's commercial tour boats, but the site originally provided moorings for water-born visitors to River House.

This newly repainted tour boat is (rather unusually) moored by the stern. The stone arch (centre) is part of Lendal Bridge: it provides (private) access from Lendal to Lendal Boatyard.

Practical Information

Please note that there is no public access to the boatyard. However, it is clearly visible from North Street Gardens (on the opposite bank of the River Ouse).
