The Queen's Path links the southern and northern parts of the Minster Yard. It's name commemorates a visit to the city by Her Majesty in 1972.

A plaque beside the path commemorates the distribution of the Royal Maundy by Her Majesty in 1972 and 2012 (see Image 2). An interesting explanation of the Maundy Money tradition is available on the York Civic Trust website (see 'External Links' below).

This pleasant flagstone-paved walkway also passes the Mason's Lodge.
