Gray's Court
Externally, Gray's Court dates mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries, but it includes 12th century masonry (perhaps from the Medieval Treasurer's residence).

The courtyard (with recently pollarded willow trees) and southeast facade, viewed from Chapter House St. Note the re-used 12th century stone columns supporting blind brick arches at ground floor level. The brickwork is probably 17th century and later.

The southwest facade and southwest garden, viewed from Minster Yard (north). The eroded carving / statue in the foreground is known as the 'Seated Figure': it was removed from the East Front of York Minster during restoration work in October 2013.
